East Hill Baptist Church Constitution (2017)
Below is the constitution of East Hill Baptist Church. The constitution is based on a standard approved constitution for Baptist Union churches which was tailored and updated by the leaders to apply specifically to East Hill. It was reviewed, approved and put in place by members of the congregation in 2017.
The constitution affects the way we govern the church and is designed to protect and strengthen East Hill Baptist Church. It is a reference point for any areas of dispute or legal issues that may arise. This adds to the prior governing documents of of 1989 and 1860. Reference is also made to the Baptist Confession of Faith 1689 and our original 1860 Founding Trust Deed.
